Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman announced she’s pregnant with her third child and first with her partner, French music producer Tanguy Destable, in an interview published with Harper’s Bazaar on Friday.
“Tanguy and I are very excited,” Portman told the outlet. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”
Portman’s pregnancy comes a little more than a year after French media outlet Voici reported on her romantic relationship with Destable.
Portman told Harper’s Bazaar that as a child of a fertility doctor, she “grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” telling the outlet, “I’m very aware, and I’m very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude.”
“I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing,” Portman said.
