One rescued after falling through ice at Aurora park

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after falling through the ice at Sand Creek Park on Tuesday night, Aurora officials said.

Aurora Fire Rescue crews responded to the park at 2700 N. Peoria St. at 7 p.m., agency officials said on social media. Aurora police and the South Metro Fire Rescue dive team also responded to the call.

One person was rescued from the water and crews are searching to see if anyone else fell through the ice, Aurora Fire Rescue officials said.
