Social media users aired their grievances on Tuesday to celebrate the secular holiday once popularized by “Seinfeld,” as a response to the festive nature and consumerism surrounding Christmas.
On the hit NBC sitcom, George’s father Frank Costanza (played by the late comedy great Jerry Stiller) highlighted the “very high strength-to-weight ratio” of an aluminum pole before kicking the tradition off with the “airing of grievances.”
“I got a lot of problems with you people! And now you’re going to hear about it!” said Stiller in the “Seinfeld” episode, which is widely considered one of the best holiday episodes in TV history.
JS asked our audience who or what disappointed them this year, and the response didn’t disappoint.
“Everything’s so expensive, I may have to take up Festivus Pole Dancing as a side hustle,” joked EP Roxout on Facebook.
“The president,” replied Marylys Navarro.
“America,” wrote Rachel Brewer.
