We are well in the swing of December, which means holiday parties and festive dressing is all of the rage right now. But you would not know it, judging by our best dressed stars of the week: A-listers such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Jenner, and Lily Collins all embraced more summery looks, as though they have warmer weather on the mind. (We would love a beach vacation, too.)
Take Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, who hit the Marty Supreme premiere in complementary tangerine Chrome Hearts looks. The bright outfits are giving Aperol Spitz at a summer wedding en Italia, more than mid-December—but somehow, it worked, and worked well. Ditto for Emily in Paris star Lily Collins and her sheer, panelled vintage Fendi number that she wore out in New York: You just know she was cold wearing such a skin-baring look, but hey-ho, it’s fashion, and the sumptuous feather stole provided some comfort. Then, amid the more mild temperatures of Miami, Zoe Saldaña stepped out for special screening of Avatar: Fire And Ash in a Chanel dress adorned with colorful bouquets, looking every bit of a blooming garden in August.
As for the more seasonally-appropriate moments of the week? Blake Lively went full holiday mode in her red satin Annina Dirndl gown and emerald jewels, while designer Victoria Beckham stepped out in a high-neck coat (from her own label) that very chicly concealed her face. Guess fashion really did steal her smile!
