Westbound Interstate 70 is open in Lakewood after a two-hour closure brought on by a seven-vehicle crash that injured a number of folks, in line with Lakewood police.
The crash occurred when a semitruck touring westbound on I-70 swerved throughout three lanes of site visitors and went down an embankment, stated Lakewood Police spokesperson Lindsey Lee.
Six different automobiles had been concerned within the crash and a number of folks had been transported to native hospitals with accidents that weren’t believed to be life-threatening, Lee stated. The reason for the crash is beneath investigation.
The interstate was closed between the Colorado Mills Parkway and West Colfax Avenue exits from roughly 6:25 p.m. to eight:45 p.m., when one lane reopened, in line with the Colorado Division of Transportation.
