After the worlds of forests and water, it’s time for another land on the planet Pandora – this time associated with the element of fire.
The third film in the Avatar series introduces a new Na’vi tribe – the Mangkwan clan, also known as the Ash People. Unlike the previously introduced tribes, the Mangkwans, led by Varang (Oona Chaplin), are pretty aggressive and full of anger. What’s more, they ally with Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), an old enemy of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his family.
Has James Cameron managed to create a world full of wonders for the third time? The best way to find out is to go to the cinema, but if you want to know when Avatar: Fire and Ash will be released on home media, keep reading our article.

When could Avatar: Fire and Ash be released on VOD?
20th Century Studios, which distributes the latest Avatar movie, hasn’t yet revealed any information on its digital premiere. However, we will try to predict when it may arrive on VOD platforms.
Fire and Ash is expected to perform well (it’s even been nominated for a box office award by the Golden Globes before releasing). If that’s the case, 20th Century Studios won’t rush its digital premiere. Avatar: The Way of Water was available on VOD only 102 days after its theatrical release, and we believe the latest instalment in the franchise will follow a similar path.
Therefore, if Avatar: Fire and Ash follows the same pattern, it may drop on VOD in the US and UK around Tuesday, 31 March 2026.
Note that this date is just a prediction – we may learn more in the coming months.
When could Avatar: Fire and Ash be released on streaming platforms?
As the previous Avatar movie, in the US, Fire and Ash will likely drop on HBO Max and Disney+ because of a deal with 20th Century Studios. However, there’s no official information on when it will happen.
We estimate that fans may have to wait approximately 78 days after the VOD premiere, as was the case with The Way of Water. Therefore, in America, Avatar: Fire and Ash may become available for streaming around Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
In the United Kingdom, the film will likely be released on Disney+, around the same time as in the US.
When could Avatar: Fire and Ash be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of the latest Avatar movie will most likely arrive last. Presumably, we won’t have to wait long for them – in the US, The Way of Water was released on DVD and Blu-ray just 13 days after its streaming premiere.
Therefore, copies of Fire and Ash may hit American stores around Tuesday, 30 June 2026. In the United Kingdom, we expect it to launch on DVD and Blu-ray a few days later.
