What the Motorola Edge 70 has to offer
Motorola has opted for a comparatively slim and lightweight body for the Edge 70 at just 5.99mm thin and 159g. This is the firm’s rival to the likes of the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge – both of which are significantly more expensive.
In everyday use, this is particularly noticeable when the device is frequently used on the go or carried in a trouser pocket for extended periods. It also features a frame made from aerospace-grade aluminium and a textured back panel, which, according to our review, is designed to provide a better grip than traditional glass backs.
It features a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i. In everyday use, this can feel more comfortable than traditional 60Hz displays, particularly when scrolling, streaming or reading. In our test, the excellent outdoor readability was particularly noted as a positive feature.

Users will also appreciate the robust build quality. According to the manufacturer, the smartphone is water-resistant to IP68 and IP69 standards and is additionally certified to military standards. This is likely to be particularly beneficial for those who frequently use their phone on the go or do not wish to handle it with constant care.
For the camera, Motorola has opted for several 50Mp sensors. In addition to the main camera, there are a total of three rear cameras and a 50Mp front camera. Videos can be recorded in 4K. According to the manufacturer, Pantone-validated colours and AI-assisted image optimisation are designed to ensure more natural-looking shots.
Our review describes the main camera as a solid mid-range solution with good results in daylight. However, there are criticisms regarding the digital zoom and night-time shots. There is no telephoto camera at all, which is why the model is primarily intended for classic everyday photos and less so for zoomed shots.
Inside, a Snapdragon 7-series processor works in tandem with 12GB of RAM. This should be more than sufficient for everyday tasks, multitasking, streaming and mobile gaming. According to our review, the system runs smoothly for the most part in everyday use, though minor stuttering may occur occasionally with very demanding applications or intensive gaming.
With 512GB of storage, the model also offers significantly more space than many devices in this price range, which often start at just 128- or 256GB. However, there is no microSD card slot.
