Asia doesn’t exactly struggle to sell travelers on a dream trip.
From neon-lit cities to temples, islands, street food, and beaches that look like somebody adjusted the saturation slider, this part of the world has no shortage of places worth jetting across the globe for.
But according to Agoda’s latest booking data, travelers aren’t just chasing Asia’s mega-city bustle this summer — they’re heading for the shore.

As such, the popular travel agency compiled an insightful list revealing Asia’s 5 best summer beach escapes.
In all honesty, all but one are huge surprises.
From Vietnam to India and plenty in between, the following coastal paradises should be on your radar for your next jaunt across the Pacific.
5) Pattaya: Thailand’s Glow-Up In The Making
We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: Pattaya has been revamped with the lofty goal of becoming more family-friendly, shifting its reputation as an all-night rager to a more well-rounded destination as it’s expected to be home to Thailand’s first Disneyland.

Is there still work to be done? Absolutely, but it’s well on its way.
Only a few hours from Bangkok by train, many add on Pattaya for sun, sand, and nocturnal nightlife, but those neon lights have ever-so-slightly dimmed nowadays in order to become more palatable for all types of travelers.
Factor in astounding temples, buzzing markets, and of course, the one photo op every tourist seeks out — the unfinished Sanctuary of Truth — Pattaya’s newfound hype seems to be working as Agoda reports a remarkable 11% surge in what was formerly a city shunned in favor of other Thai getaways.

4) Goa: India’s Trendy Slice Of Paradise

Not everyone is welcoming of digital nomads as numerous spots claim the remote work craze has ruined the ethos of their beloved hometowns.
That’s not the case for Goa.
In fact, digital nomadism put Goa on the map for one of the most surprising aspects of India: drop-dead gorgeous beaches — and much cleaner air.
No offense, New Delhi…
The great part about Goa is that its expansive coastline offers two completely different vibes. To the south, you’ll find more blissful, undisturbed stretches of sandy shoreline, and to the north is where most of the action lies, with Baga and Calangute.

Agoda searches for Goa have spiked by 13% compared to last year as travelers are catching on to what Goa has quietly offered all along: low prices, rich culture, and beaches that don’t feel like the India most people picture.
Travelers are scoring India’s safety in real time, giving it a score of 75/100:
Before venturing off to India, make sure to obtain a formal visa.
3) Bali: A Global Icon Lives On
There was a time in recent years when Bali was on the wrong side of headlines, where travelers were claiming clustered traffic jams, trash piles, and a wave of expats tarnished this iconic beach haven’s Eat Pray Love aura.
But the truth is Bali is just as iconic as ever — and growing.

Travelers aren’t just flocking to Canggu for beach clubs; they’re flocking to some of the hidden corners of Indonesia’s most renowned destination, such as Sidemen and numerous traditional villages.
Tied with Goa in terms of interest, there’s no denying who wins the popularity contest between the two.
While it’s not as cheap as it used to be, it still offers the kind of jungle-meets-beach escape that feels luxurious without fully entering honeymoon-only territory.
Though safety has become a question mark with over 70 verified reports of scams on our Safety Index.
Travelers are scoring Bali’s safety in real time at a 71/100:
Before venturing off to Indonesia, be prepared to obtain a visa on arrival.
2) Nha Trang: Vietnam’s High-Rise Hideaway

When it comes to Vietnam, you largely hear of the hole-in-the-wall noodle shacks, the vibrant green rice paddies, endless countryside, and bustling cities.
But it’s the beach locales that have really pushed Vietnam over the edge in having a record-breaking year for tourism.
One such place is Nha Trang, a sunny bayside oasis with easy access to incredible islands that could quite possibly be your new favorite snorkeling spot.
Despite its Miami-esque skyline, don’t be fooled — it’s cheap, safe, and surprisingly authentic for appearing as a classic seaside city.
Agoda reports a 36% surge in interest this year, meaning it has become one of the trendiest beach escapes across Asia, nearly tripling others on this list.

Travelers are scoring Vietnam’s safety in real time at a 92/100 currently:
1) Da Nang: Vietnam’s Coast With The Most
Da Nang is Asia’s beach destination to beat this summer.
Backed by a whopping 72% increase in Agoda booking searches, its rise is more than double Nha Trang’s 36% surge.
Of course, if you’re a travel nerd like all of us here at Travel Off Path, this shouldn’t come as a total shock.
Da Nang has been taking over travel publications left and right, not just as Vietnam’s next great beach getaway, but as the destination to be in Asia — with My Khe Beach, Marble Mountains, Hoi An nearby, and a growing food-and-café scene all rolled into one.

You don’t have to venture all the way to the Maldives for a true textbook paradise with Da Nang’s white sand and affordable luxury with posh villas like Naman Retreat.
Before venturing off to Vietnam, make sure you obtain an e-visa.
