In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reports that Xiaomi unveiled multiple devices at MWC 2026, including the flagship 17 series smartphones now available globally with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipsets and improved cameras.
  • Key launches include the Xiaomi Watch 5 featuring Wear OS 6 and 18-day battery life, plus new Pad 8 tablets with 144Hz displays starting at £399.
  • Additional accessories comprise the ultra-thin 6mm magnetic power bank, Xiaomi Tag Bluetooth tracker supporting both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub networks.

From Honor to Huawei, there’s no shortage of tech giants unveiling their upcoming products at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, but Xiaomi has certainly taken the cake with an abundance of devices. With flagship phones, smartwatches and even a super stylish power bank in the mix, there’s something for everyone.

For those who have tuned in with our Xiaomi coverage over the last few months, you’ll no doubt know that a few of these devices have been the subject of leaks and rumours, but now we have official confirmation of their existence and, more importantly, what specs they’re bringing to the table.

With that in mind, here are the big Xiaomi announcements from MWC 2026, the biggest mobile-focused tech show on the calendar.

Xiaomi 17 series

Although there are technically five different Xiaomi 17 phones in China, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max will remain as exclusives to their native country, whilst the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi (also known as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition) are now available to buy in the West.

Starting with the entry-level model, the Xiaomi 17 is a fairly modest upgrade over its predecessor, but that’s no bad thing, because unlike the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S26, the price has stayed the same.

On this newer phone, you’re getting a much larger 6330mAh battery (up from 5240mAh), and that comes with a 10W bump to the charging speed which now caps out at a super fast 100W.

At that speed, the Xiaomi 17 outpaces even pricier flagships like the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the Oppo Find X9 Pro.

Xiaomi 17 REVIEW back angled

You’ve got the much more efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, although this CPU is now standard across every phone in the Xiaomi 17 range. The camera hardware is mostly unchanged, although Xiaomi touts a mysterious Leica Summilux optical lens that we’ll put to the test in our upcoming review.

Oddly enough, the display is now slightly smaller at 6.3-inches, although that might be appealing to those who miss the days of having more compact flagship phones. While the Xiaomi 17 seems like a solid flagship in most regards, the real star of the show is undoubtedly the new Xiaomi 17 Ultra, seen below in the new Starlit Green colourway.

Xiaomi’s top-tier flagship for 2026 now packs a powerful 200Mp 4.2x periscope telephoto lens as part of its triple-camera set-up, no doubt paving the way for far more detailed shots from a distance. Given that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was already one of the best camera phones we’ve ever tested, we’re excited to put its successor to the test.

Elsewhere, Xiaomi has doubled down on giving the 17 Ultra an edge over the competition with a bigger capacity 6,000mAh battery and an even larger 6.9-inch OLED display that now peaks at 3500 nits of brightness.

For the true camera phone aficionados out there, the Leica Leitzphone is sure to be the most appealing option of the bunch as it’s essentially a beefed-up Xiaomi 17 Ultra, packed with a Leica-inspired design, a main 1-inch sensor and, most importantly, a rotating camera ring which mimics the feel of holding a dedicated camera.

There’s a lot to look forward to from these phones, and if you’re tempted to upgrade to any of them, then the prices are as follows:

Xiaomi 17:

  • 12/256GB – £899
  • 12/512GB – £999

Xiaomi 17 Ultra:

  • 16/512GB – £1,299
  • 16/1TB – £1,499

Xiaomi Pad 8 series

The Xiaomi Pad 7 is still one of our favourite tablets around, so we’re pretty excited to see the curtain pulled back on the all-new Xiaomi Pad 8 range. There are two tablets in the mix, the entry-level Xiaomi Pad 8 and the higher-specced Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, which can also be picked up in a separate Matte Glass version.

Although it’s coming in at a slightly higher price, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is set to offer even better value for money with a more detail-rich 3.2K 11.2-inch display with the same 144Hz refresh rate as before, alongside a bigger 9200mAh battery that should allow you to get more use out of the tablet before needing to seek out a charging point. There’s also a bump in performance with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset thrown in.

Those who want a real power boost and a tablet that can work as a laptop replacement will want to check out the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro which is running on the super-fast Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the same CPU which powers other great tablets like the OnePlus Pad 3. It has also seen a leap in battery capacity to a 9200mAh cell.

As you can no doubt guess from its name, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro Matte Glass version can reduce reflections on the display (by up to 44% according to Xiaomi), so even if there is a lot of natural light surrounding you then it shouldn’t prevent you from getting your work done.

The prices for the Pad 8 tablets are as follows:

Xiaomi Pad 8:

  • 8/128GB – £399
  • 8/256GB – £449

Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro:

  • 8/256GB – £529
  • 12/512GB – £599

Xiaomi Watch 5

Xiaomi’s smartwatch range is back with a 2026 refresh in the Xiaomi Watch 5. This newer watch now supports the recent Wear OS 6 right out of the box, pairing with the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset for optimal performance.

As part of Wear OS 6, the Watch 5 can now be used to summon Google Gemini directly from your wrist, so you can get quick responses to fairly complex queries without ever having to fish your phone out of your pocket.

Xiaomi claims that the Watch 5 can run for up to 6-days when in smart mode, but that can be extended to 18-days when the power saver mode is toggled. That should give it the kind of longevity needed to compete with similarly long-lasting watches like the OnePlus Watch 3.

Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W

Looking to give Apple’s MagSafe Battery a run for its money, the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W, other than being quite the mouthful to say, is a very sleek means of keeping your devices topped up.

At just 6mm thick, this power bank should be the ideal solution for those who don’t want to be bogged down by chunky accessories. There are three colourways (Glacier Silver, Graphite Black and Radiant Orange) and each of them are quite stylish.

It’s priced at £49.99, or if you want the Radiant Orange, it jumps to £54.99.

Xiaomi Tag

Xiaomi’s answer to the Apple AirTag, the Xiaomi Tag is an all-new Bluetooth tracker designed to help you keep tabs on your most treasured belongings. It only weighs 10g and has IP67 dust and water resistance to help it withstand the elements (or the bottom of a suitcase).

What’s most impressive is that the Xiaomi Tag works with both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find Hub, which is a rarity on the Bluetooth tracker market.

It’s priced at £12.99 for one, or £44.99 if you want a pack of four.

Redmi Buds 8 Pro

Xiaomi’s affordable earbuds, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro, are designed to provide better ANC than their predecessors with the ability to suppress up to 55dB when on the move.

Boasting twin 6.7mm PZT ceramic tweeters, the buds also have improved audio quality to provide a more expansive soundscape, with support for both Dolby Audio and Hi-Res Audio.

Undercutting the likes of the Pixel Buds 2a, they cost £64.99.

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra

Last but not least is something for the fans of compact, power-assisted travel.

With pretty sizeable 12-inch tyres, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 6 Ultra is designed for all-terrain use and can travel a total of 75km on a single charge.
