Greater than 300 flights have been delayed at Denver Worldwide Airport on Saturday resulting from a floor delay brought on by thunderstorms within the space.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a floor delay at DIA at roughly 2:36 p.m. Saturday, and is anticipated to proceed till 9 p.m., according to the agency. The FAA cited climate as the first issue.
The Nationwide Climate Service issued a hazardous climate outlook for Saturday afternoon and night, warning of storms with heavy rain, small hail, and wind gusts as much as 40 mph in elements of north-central Colorado.
As of 6 p.m. Saturday, 317 flights headed out and in of DIA had been delayed and two have been canceled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware.
