One person was taken to the hospital after a shooting involving an Edgewater Police Department officer in Wheat Ridge on Saturday morning, officials said.
The encounter began in Edgewater and led to the area of West 32nd Avenue and Pierce Street in Wheat Ridge, the agency said on social media.
One officer was involved in the shooting and one suspect was taken to the hospital, Edgewater police said. The officer was not injured.
