“Late Evening” host Seth Meyers on Thursday ridiculed Donald Trump over a baffling alternate when the president appeared to fully misunderstand a reporter’s query.
Meyers aired a clip during which Trump was requested about unverified and contested reports that FBI Director Kash Patel had “discovered burn luggage of Russiagate supplies.” Trump, seemingly confused, replied, “He mentioned what?”
After the reporter repeated, “Burn luggage of Russiagate supplies,” Trump responded, “I don’t know what you imply by that assertion.”
When the reporter clarified once more, Trump replied, “Oh, I believed you mentioned appointed a person referred to as Burn Bag. Go forward.”
“Oh, dude. Don’t admit that!” he mentioned. “Simply say, ‘I couldn’t hear you.’ Don’t inform the world you have been off by a rustic mile.”
The host then impersonated Trump: “‘Oh, I believed you have been saying the title of an individual who has by no means existed on Earth.’”
