In 2025, Netflix’s name was on everyone’s lips thanks to releases such as Squid Game, Wednesday and Stranger Things, as well as the controversial acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. In 2026, the streaming giant isn’t slowing down – its freshly published list of premieres for the coming months looks truly impressive.
Here are our picks of the returning series.
Bridgerton Season 4

Netflix
The fourth season of the series is split into two parts, which will debut on the platform on 29 January and 26 February, respectively. This time, the Regency-era romance will focus on the love story between Benedict Bridgerton and the mysterious Silver Lady.
Virgin River Season 7
The latest instalment of the romantic drama will drop on Netflix on 12 March. In the new season, could Mel’s dream of motherhood become a reality?
One Piece: Into The Grand Line

Netflix
Season 2 of the cult manga-based series will debut on 10 March. This time, Monkey D. Luffy and The Straw Hat Pirates will sail into dangerous waters, where they will encounter adventures they never imagined.
Beef Season 2
The story of a quarrel that escalates into a bizarre vendetta will return on 16 April. The second season, which tells a completely new story, will be led by Charles Melton, Cailee Spaeny, Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2
The new adventures of Aang and his friends don’t have a precise release date yet, but surely the show will be one of Netflix’s biggest premieres this year. The characters will return a little older and more experienced, setting off on a mission to defeat Fire Lord Ozai.
The best upcoming new shows on Netflix
In addition to beloved hits, Netflix will also feature new releases.

Netflix
Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, starring Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman, will arrive on Netflix on 15 January. The new adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, with Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden as Lizzie Bennet and Mr Darcy, is expected to cause quite a stir, as well as East of Eden with Florence Pugh, and the reimagining of Little House on the Prairie, though none of these programmes yet have a release date.
Netflix also has a gift for devoted Stranger Things fans – the animated Tales From ’85 will cover what happened between seasons 2 and 3 of the mothership series. Once again, its release is TBC.
And the missing series is…
Sadly, Blue Eye Samurai is missing from Netflix’s list, even though season 2 was expected to premiere in 2026. The production of the new episodes kicked off in August 2025 – we hope that there’s still a chance for the show to return in the upcoming months.
