There’s a latent lyricism to dressing after dark, and in Eudon Choi’s new pre-fall collection, the clothes articulate the desires of party girls across the spectrum, from the coiffed and cinched après-skier to the feathered and fabulous club flâneuse. Choi found inspiration in the iconic 1980s Parisian nightclub La Palace, once a hangout and research laboratory for young designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld.
It’s quite a departure—and continent hop—from the minimalist spring 2026 collection, where the designer was inspired by artist Georgia O’Keeffe’s Pueblo Revival-style New Mexico home to create louche marshmallow-toned shirts, hakama-style pants, and blazers with modular slashes for ultimate ease. “We’ll never lose the sophistication, but we’re into having a bit more fun this time,” sais Choi. “Last year was a hard one for the fashion industry, and we wanted to feel a bit lighter. That started with this big ’80s influence.”
For Choi, dressing pour la nuit incorporates sportier functionalities, femme fatale tailoring, and more directional, decadent details. A bow-chested, black and white eyelash-feathered column dress practically shimmered. With his background in menswear, Choi enjoyed luxuriating in and building upon traditional black tie codes. There was a more swans-neck-than-funnel-neck coat, and capes-cum-blazers featured cinching buttons at the back to switch up their silhouettes from relaxed to more sculptural. A tuxedo bib shirt was designed with an asymmetric sharp shoulder, perfect for parting the club’s crowds as one glides to the bar.
This is all without losing the brand’s sense of soft temperament either. Sweeter, more tranquil moments included tiered lace dresses, parachute-style pants, jersey sets draped like silks, and accents of mint, butter, and pistachio.
