Troye told Jim Acosta she agreed with Democratic lawmakers’ preliminary efforts to remove Trump using the 25th Amendment, arguing his behavior is unstable.
“I mean, look, he’s out there punching at the pope and then he posts that, and, yeah, Donald Trump is a healer? Yeah, give me a break,” Troye said, in video shared online by Mediaite, of Trump’s recent attack on Pope Leo XIV and then sharing of an AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus, which he later deleted and claimed showed him as a doctor.
Then Troye cuttingly added: “I never saw that asshole pray once when I was there in the White House.”
Troye, who grew up in a Catholic household, said the Trump as Jesus post “was infuriating and enraging to me and a lot of my family members.”
“Just watching the blasphemy and the hypocrisy of this man — it’s astounding,” she added, urging lawmakers to “move forward ASAP” with the 25th Amendment because he is “completely unfit” for office.
