Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former ally of Donald Trump, broke further from the president Wednesday in a scathing tirade against his war in Iran, calling for the GOP to be “burned to the ground.”
“We have to be realistic about the Republican Party. The Republican Party needs burned to the ground,” Greene told far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on his show. “It’s completely controlled — as a matter of fact, much of Congress is controlled by AIPAC and by Zionists, and that is a serious problem.”

Greene’s remarks come amid growing backlash from a handful of prominent MAGA figures, including Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, over the United States’ relationship with Israel in the wake of the joint bombing campaign against Iran.
The former Georgia congresswoman, who recently called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked to remove Trump from power, told Jones the president is “not mentally stable.”
“I loved President Trump, and I loved everything that he had promised to the American people in 2024, but this has been a complete 180,” Greene said. “MAGA went from being ‘America First’ to now it’s America last.”
She went on to rip the president’s supporters who call themselves Christian but backed Trump despite his Easter Sunday threat to wipe out a civilization.
“We want to support our president. We want to cheer and root for America. But you don’t have to be in a cult where you can’t call it out, and that is what this has turned into,” Greene said. “It’s turned into a cult where the Trump administration, the president himself, and everyone around him, demands cult-like worship when he’s putting up posts like that on Easter Sunday, Easter Sunday, and then calling to destroy an entire civilization of people.”
Greene, who previously supported the president through his fraud conviction and impeachment, urged the American people to no longer support Trump.
She told Jones, “The American people have to open their eyes and deal with reality and deal with truth and the truth is, look, you may have supported President Trump for 10 years, like I did, and like you have, but this is not the same man. This is not the same man that we supported.”
