For Nanushka’s pre-fall 2026 collection, a central ochre-colored print featured an overgrown ruin, a building taken over by nature, panthers lurking—a scene that represented this season’s sentiment of clothes not just as design and adornment, but for balance and protection.
“I wanted to create something that feels tough and essential, but also quietly expressive,” said designer Sandra Sándor. Designs, rooted in pragmatism, saw free-flowing volume meet brutalist silhouettes. Traditional pieces of workwear and sturdy shield-like collars were cast in satin and cotton; a mineral and oxidized color palette was punctuated by pops of feminine pink, muted green, and cherry.
Sándor continued to experiment with proportions and utilitarian functionality, producing elongated funnel necklines that can be snapped into different shapes, a modular double-wool trench coat, and sculpted waist belts. Materiality reflected Nanushka’s continued dialogue between the natural world and their modern woman trying to balance the hard and soft.
Fringed knitwear was spun with an earthy variegated yarn, and a leather-collared shirt dress featured an animal print that was deliberately ambiguous. A sharp-shouldered, cinch-waisted suit was made in a soft, tactile flax fabric that looked almost denim-like. Leather was used liberally and intensely, with a bestselling Nanushka evening gown made in brick red cotton jersey that sat close like a second skin, overlaid with an armor-like leather corset. A cream seersucker cotton top and pants set had a whorling hemline like a mushroom cup.
After the brand’s debut London show last spring and continued strong retail performance, particularly with accessories, Nanuska is set to launch footwear in the next few months. Just like the brand’s popular Sandi and Origami bags, expect shoes to fall in fluid step with the house codes—and to see them on women walking in quicktime across all corners of the British capital.
