A girl died after she was discovered unresponsive in her cell on the Jefferson County Detention Facility early Wednesday morning, based on the sheriff’s workplace.
A deputy discovered Sasha Chavez, 37, simply earlier than 5:55 a.m., sheriff’s officers stated. Deputies and medical workers gave two doses of naloxone and continued CPR for half-hour, and emergency responders continued attempting to resuscitate her earlier than she was pronounced useless at 6:40 a.m.
Chavez’s dying can be investigated by the first Judicial District’s Essential Incident Response Workforce, and the coroner’s workplace will decide her reason for dying.
