After her cameo in Superman, Kara Zor-El is getting her own standalone movie. According to the action-packed first teaser, Clark Kent’s cousin, known as Supergirl, is just as much of a party girl as she is a warrior.
In the upcoming film, directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella) and written by Ana Nogueira (Which Way to the Stage), we meet Kara on her birthday as she travels across the galaxy with her goofy dog, Krypto. When a bloody event interrupts her party spree, she embarks on a path of vengeance.
Supergirl is portrayed by Millie Alcock, known for her role as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon. The film will also feature Jason Momoa as Lobo, the infamous assassin and bounty hunter.

When could Supergirl tickets go on sale?
Warner Bros. Pictures, which distributes Supergirl and other DC films, hasn’t yet announced when ticket sales will kick off. However, we predict that it won’t happen until the spring of 2026.
Superman premiered worldwide on 11 July 2025. Given that the film launched the rebooted DC universe, its premiere was a significant event. Ticket sales began a month before the release, on 11 June 2025, giving fans plenty of time to book seats for James Gunn’s latest superhero instalment.
Supergirl may follow a similar pattern. The Milly Alcock-led film will be one of the most essential blockbusters of 2026. The premiere is scheduled for 26 June 2026, so we estimate that tickets may go on sale around 26 May 2026.
Stay tuned to get further information on this matter.
