The Kremlin on Tuesday acknowledged a Ukrainian assault had broken a warship within the occupied Crimean port of Feodosia in what Ukraine and its Western allies referred to as a significant setback for the Russian navy.
Ukraine stated its air power destroyed the Novocherkassk touchdown ship, with President Volodymyr Zelensky joking on social media that the vessel had now joined “the Russian underwater Black Sea fleet”.
Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu knowledgeable “concerning the injury to our massive touchdown ship” to President Vladimir Putin in “a really detailed report”, the president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed journalists.
Ukraine’s army stated earlier that its air power had destroyed the Russian naval ship in a missile assault on the japanese Crimean port.
The Ukrainian defence ministry wrote on X that the “Novocherkassk touchdown ship was destroyed in Feodosia tonight”.
