Golf legend Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash Friday in Florida and arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
The crash involving Woods and another vehicle happened just after 2 p.m. on Jupiter Island, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said at a press conference Friday. There were no injuries.
During the crash in the 30 mph zone, Woods’ Range Rover rolled onto its side and skidded down the road, police said.
Budensiek said Woods consented to a breathalyzer test, but declined to take a urine test.
“He’s in our jail, he will be there at least eight hours, and he’ll be released on bond,” Budensiek said.
President Donald Trump chimed in on the crash Friday afternoon, saying Woods is “a very close friend of mine.”

“I feel so badly,” Trump told reporters. “He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident and that’s all I know.”
In 2021, Woods was seriously hurt when he crashed his car going more than 80 miles per hour down a Los Angeles road with a speed limit of 45 mph, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said at the time.
Despite the excessive speeds in his 2021 crash, authorities said there was no evidence of Woods being impaired or distracted while driving.
Woods was injured when he wrecked a vehicle outside his Florida home in 2009. He was arrested in 2017 for driving under the influence after being found unconscious in his vehicle.
