In these dark, frosty days of winter, it’s only natural to be dreaming of your next vacation—and in 2026, there’s a wealth of new hotels to stay at, opening their doors on (nearly) every continent. Antarctica is a little tricky, but we do have the next best thing: In October, Silversea will finally open The Cormorant at 55 South in Puerto Williams, Chile—the world’s southernmost city, and the gateway to the Great White South.
Elsewhere, there’s a spate of hotels opening across Italy—highlights include the Orient Express Venezia, housed in a powder-pink 15th-century palace in Venice, and Castel Badia in the Dolomites, a region set to capture the world’s attention when the Winter Olympics kick off in February—as well as in some further-flung corners of Europe, such as the innovative new wellness retreat Eha in Estonia and the super-stylish Casa Bonavita in Malta, a centuries-old family home renovated by the founders of The Rug Company.
And there’s plenty to keep your eye on Stateside, too: the beloved Auberge Collection is opening The Knox in Dallas, theatrically decorated by Martin Brudnizki, while the cult uber-luxury hotel group Aman will be landing in Mexico for the first time with their intimate, 18-key resort Amanvari in Baja California. Whether you are seeking inspiration for your next getaway, or simply want to indulge in some vicarious wanderlust during these cold, winter nights, you’ll be spoilt for choice with Vogue’s pick of the 44 most exciting hotels opening in 2026.
