Baghdad:
Tons of of protesters stormed and set hearth to the Swedish embassy in Baghdad within the early hours of Thursday morning, a supply aware of the case and a Reuters witness stated.
The supply stated no embassy personnel had been harmed and declined to elaborate. Officers on the Swedish embassy in Baghdad didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.
The protest was organized by supporters of Shiite cleric Muqtada Sadr forward of the anticipated burning of the Islamic holy ebook, the Koran, in Sweden – which has traditionally led to widespread protests and condemnation in Muslim-majority nations.
