In summary:
- Tech Advisor reports that Samsung is set to increase Galaxy phone prices across Europe by €100-€200 starting in June, affecting S, Z Fold, Z Flip, and FE series models.
- Higher storage variants will experience the largest price hikes, with Samsung’s upcoming foldable range expected to be particularly expensive following recent product launches.
- Consumers should consider purchasing Galaxy devices now to avoid these significant cost increases, especially given industry-wide smartphone price inflation trends.
Samsung is reportedly set to hike the prices of its Galaxy phone range in Europe.
So, if you want that shiny new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, better buy it now, or you could end up paying considerably more in a few weeks’ time.
According to the Greek website Techmaniacs, the South Korean company is struggling with sky-high memory prices, despite being in the business of making the stuff itself.
As a result, from the first week of June, the company is expected to raise the prices of several devices in the Greek market by between €100 and €200. Higher storage models will apparently receive the biggest hikes.
The report claims that these price increases will affect the Galaxy S series, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy FE models. All the premium and flagship stuff, basically.
While the report specifically and naturally mentions its home market, it’s worth noting that Greece is a fully integrated member of the European market. If Samsung is looking at such a dramatic price hike in one European country, it’s likely looking at others too.
While technically separate from the European market, you can bet your bottom pound sterling that we’ll be monitoring Samsung’s UK pricing, too.

Phone pricing is set to explode
As Techmaniacs points out, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun recently advised customers to buy their new smartphones right now if they were planning to upgrade, with prices only set to go higher. That seems like good advice for Samsung customers, too.
Indeed, it all seems to be pointing towards an eyebrow-raisingly expensive new foldable range from Samsung at its rumoured London Unpacked event on 22 July.
Yesterday, we mentioned that Samsung tipster Ice Universe had joked about the name of the (allegedly) rebranded Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra being a reference to its ‘Ultra’ pricing.
We’re starting to suspect that this might not have been a joke after all.
Of course, Samsung’s prices aren’t the only things that are exploding right now. Just a couple of weeks after we reported on a worrying Samsung Galaxy S24 combustion in South Korea, a fresh report of an exploding Samsung S25 FE has hit Reddit.
Apparently, this one was charging by the bed of a woman while she and her son were sleeping, when they awoke to “sounds of popping/ fireworks and metal/ plastic shrapnel flying everywhere”.
These are challenging times for Samsung and its customers, that’s for sure.
