The Samsung Galaxy A07 5G has appeared on a popular benchmarking tool, revealing a somewhat underwhelming level of performance.
Samsung’s budget phone follow-up to the Galaxy A06 5G has been popping up on the internet rumour mill over the past few months. Now we have a solid idea of how the Galaxy A07 5G is going to perform.
Having appeared on the Geekbench 6 CPU benchmark test, we’re not expecting any great advances. A single-core score of 729 and a multi-core score of 1878 isn’t just modest – it’s about the same level of modest as the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G.
The listing handily explains why that might be. It seems the core layout for the Galaxy A07 5G is a match for that of its predecessor, which means that it likely runs on the exact same humble MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip.
We also get confirmation here that it’ll run with 4GB of RAM, which really isn’t a lot for an Android device.

Of course, we wouldn’t have expected Samsung’s imminent budget phone upgrade to be a star performer.
Samsung never sold its predecessor, the Galaxy A06 5G, through its own website, but the phone did make its way to market through third-party retailers. When it did, it went for less than £100, which is the very minimum you can expect to pay for a smartphone.
Back in August we saw leaked images of the Galaxy A07 5G, alongside a preliminary list of specifications. We’re expecting it to pack a 6.7-inch LCD with a 1600 x 720 (aka HD+) resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
It should also feature a 50Mp main camera, with 2Mp back-up of some sort – likely a depth sensor. Expect a 5000mAh battery and 15W wired charging, too.
The A07 5G should also feature IP54 certification and six years of OS and security updates – two specs that you don’t expect to see from a sub-£100 phone.
