In summary:

  • Tech Advisor reports that Nothing unveiled the Phone (4a) in four colors at Mobile World Congress, including new black and blue options alongside white and pink variants.
  • The device maintains Nothing’s signature transparent design and Glyph Bar while targeting flagship-level performance at an affordable price point.
  • Expected specifications include a triple 50Mp camera system and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, with full details launching March 5th in London.

Nothing has revealed the Phone (4a) in its full selection of colours at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. At a small but crowded event, the London-based company showed off the devices under the Barcelonian sun, albeit behind glass, for now.

The Nothing Phone (4a) will be revealed in full on 5 March at an event in London, but the company hasn’t shied away from showing off the Phone (4a). It’s sibling device, the Phone (4a) Pro has so far remained a mystery – although it does exist.

Up to now, Nothing had shown off the Phone (4a) in white and pink, but in the full set, we see the expected black, as well as blue colouring. The blue is similar to the pink, with a striking effect, especially in bright sun.

The transparent design that has become a signature of Nothing looks great on these phones, with a camera design that’s similar to the Nothing Phone (3a) from 2025.

Carl Pei, founder of Nothing and former OnePlus chief, previously talked about the (a) series phone being the firm’s biggest seller, and one of the aims of the Phone (4a) is to raise the level of performance closer to flagship level – though with a possible price rise.

With that in mind, there isn’t going to be a Nothing Phone (4) for some time; instead, these mid-range devices are looking to give affordable power. The Nothing Phone (4a) is expected to have a triple 50Mp camera system on the back, sitting alongside the new Glyph Bar, a slight rethinking of the LED system on the back of the phone.

It’s expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro should have a slightly larger display and a slightly more powerful camera system, but Nothing hasn’t teased it at MWC 2026 alongside the regular model.

What’s striking about these devices once you’ve seen them in the flesh is that you’re getting a lot of design for your money: rival devices are usually just a flat colour, often black, and boring to look at. You definitely can’t say that about the Nothing Phone (4a).

Full details will be revealed on 5 March.
