Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on Monday stated that he was open to the prospect of Sam Altman returning to OpenAI following his dramatic ouster from the high-profile firm final week, because the fallout of his abrupt elimination continues.

The tech big had beforehand announced that it was bringing in Altman and former OpenAI President Greg Brockman to guide a brand new synthetic intelligence analysis group there, and in addition appeared ready to rent different OpenAI workers who select to observe their former boss out of the corporate. Brockman resigned from OpenAI in protest over the firing of Altman as CEO.

In a post on social media, Altman stated that he and Nadella stay targeted on the success of his former firm.

Requested if Microsoft wants a seat on OpenAI’s board, Nadella instructed CNBC that he expects the present construction will evolve.

“I believe it’s very, very clear that one thing has to alter across the governance,” Nadella stated.

He added, “We’ll have dialogue with their board on that.”
