Metso secures $23m equipment order for Twin Hills gold project in Namibia

Osino Sources, an exploration and improvement firm in Namibia, has awarded Metso an order for the supply of key course of gear for its Twin Hills gold mission.

Situated 150km northwest of Windhoek throughout the Damara Orogenic Belt, the mission is at the moment within the improvement stage.

The overall worth of the order exceeds €20m ($23.5m) and is booked within the second quarter orders of Metso’s minerals section.

Metso will provide an built-in gear bundle comprising superior crushing and focus know-how for the Twin Hills greenfield gold plant.

The high-throughput crushing circuit is designed for environment friendly ore processing and incorporates a Superior MKIII main gyratory crusher, apron feeders and Nordberg HP900 cone crushers.

Metso may even provide two HRT high-rate thickeners outfitted with Reactorwell feed know-how and 5 Larox FFP3512 filters for focus thickening and tailings dewatering.

In June 2023, Osino introduced a definitive feasibility research for the Twin Hills mission, which relies on 2.94 million ounces (moz) reserves.

The research outlines a 13-year open-pit mine with a median annual manufacturing of 160,000oz at an all-in sustaining value of $1,000/oz.

The Twin Hills mission advantages from a simple executable design, important progress potential and proximity to important infrastructure.

In June 2025, Metso signed a three-year agreement with BHP to produce metallic liners for the corporate’s Western Australia iron ore operations.
