A person was fatally shot by police in an east Colorado Springs neighborhood on Friday afternoon after he fired at them as they tried to arrest him, officers stated.
The Colorado Springs Police Department‘s violent offender job drive and tactical unit was trying to find a “wished suspect” within the 1100 block of Branding Iron Circle at 2:48 p.m. once they discovered the person and tried to contact him in his automobile, the company stated on social media.
Division officers didn’t say what fees the person was accused of.
The person refused to depart the automobile, and after officers noticed he had a gun, he fired at the very least one spherical at police.
No less than one officer returned fireplace, and police arrested him and began emergency medical support till paramedics arrived. The person was pronounced useless on the scene.
No officers or different group members had been injured within the capturing, police officers stated. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating the capturing.
