A key think about Decide Chen’s resolution, handed down late Friday, was the scope of a legislation underneath which the defendants had been charged, referred to as the sincere providers wire fraud statute.

In mild of that call, and the absence of precedent making use of that legislation to bribery of international workers of international nongovernment employers, Decide Chen wrote in her ruling that she was compelled to “discover that the sincere providers wire fraud statute doesn’t embody international industrial bribery as charged in opposition to defendants.”
