Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday used his last show of 2025 to blast President Donald Trump for going “a mile a minute” in his shouty, lie-laden primetime address.
“But while his delivery was erratic, his message was insane,” Kimmel said.
In Trump’s speech from the White House, he declared that the U.S. was “absolutely dead” and ready to “totally fail” when his predecessor Joe Biden was in charge one year ago.
“Now, we’re the hottest country anywhere in the world,” Trump said.
Kimmel hit back with an ice-cold message.
“Maybe we’ll get lucky, and in a few years, he’ll leave us for a younger, hotter country somewhere in the world,” Kimmel quipped.
Kimmel joked that 11 fact-checkers died due to the falsehoods spewed from Trump’s mouth, adding that the president packed “a lot of crap” into his 18-minute speech.
“At some point, it was hard to tell if he was giving a speech or having a seizure on TV,” Kimmel said, then showed several clips of Trump stumbling over his words and slurring his speech.
Kimmel also argued that Trump hoped the speech would highlight his supposed accomplishments before Americans found out what was in the Jeffrey Epstein files. The law requires the Justice Department to release its files on the late convicted sex offender by Friday.
″’Twas the night before Epstein and all through the White House, they are shitting their stockings to see what comes out,” Kimmel joked.
