MSNBC’s Jen Psaki stated it’s “arduous to think about” former President Donald Trump’s mug shot making him “extra interesting” forward of the 2024 presidential election.
The host, in a newsletter forward of Sunday’s episode of her MSNBC program, argued that Trump thinks the mug shot is a “political winner” for him following his arrest at Georgia’s Fulton County Jail on expenses tied to efforts to vary the outcomes of the 2020 presidential election within the state.
“He thinks it is a political winner for him. However as New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu informed me in an interview that airs Sunday, ‘independents hate it,’” wrote Psaki, a former White Home press secretary within the Biden administration.
“The actual fact stays that Trump goes to want to increase his voting base to win a basic election.”
Psaki went on to declare that whereas Trump has “turned politics on its head,” it’s “most unlikely” that the Georgia reserving will make independents and moderates in a variety of U.S. cities “extra seemingly” to vote for him.
“This photograph can be shared on each textual content thread in America. Typically, photographs are extra persuasive than something,” Psaki wrote.
“And it’s arduous to think about that this picture, of Trump scowling into the police digital camera, will make him extra interesting to anybody who will not be already a hardcore supporter.”

A number of Republicans have weighed in on the mug shot since its launch together with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who declared that the photograph will win him the 2024 presidential election, and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who referred to Thursday as a “sad day in America.”
Others together with Ty Cobb, a former lawyer within the Trump White Home, likened the previous president’s mug shot look to a “Batman villain” whereas a Trump spokesperson argued that the discharge is “probably one of the best things” that has ever occurred to the previous president.
The discharge has reportedly pushed Trump-linked teams – and the former president’s son Donald Trump Jr. – to fundraise off the mug shot, The Hill reported. The previous president has raised over $7 million since being booked within the Georgia jail, the Trump campaign told the outlet on Saturday.
