France will ban kids from carrying the abaya, the loose-fitting, full-length robes worn by some Muslim ladies, in state-run faculties, its training minister stated on Sunday forward of the back-to-school season.
France, which has enforced a strict ban on spiritual indicators in state faculties since nineteenth century legal guidelines eliminated any conventional Catholic affect from public training, has struggled to replace tips to cope with a rising Muslim minority.
