Fourth of July celebrations turned to disaster within the Denver metro this yr–a number of folks left with out properties in a single day after fires that began attributable to fireworks.

South Metro Hearth Rescue crews arrived at round midnight to a house on Pebblewood Ct. in unincorporated Douglas County to discover a storage on fireplace with flames capturing into the attic.

Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies helped folks out of the house as SMFR crews attacked the hearth and rescued a number of canines and cats, all of which had been reported protected.

“Additionally they evacuated some close by properties as effectively because of the great amount of fireside that was contained in the storage on the time,” mentioned South Metro Hearth Rescue spokesperson Connor Christian.
