“The Daily Show” host Desi Lydic on Wednesday used a scathing flow chart to explain one of Donald Trump’s recent baffling remarks.
After a man was caught on camera squirting what was believed to be apple cider vinegar at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) during a Minneapolis town hall this week, Trump responded by wildly and baselessly suggesting that Omar, a frequent target of his, “probably had herself sprayed.”
Lydic acknowledged that viewers “might be wondering how the president could react to an act of political violence this way.”
“But it’s pretty simple,” she said.
The comedian then held up the aforementioned basic, hand-drawn flow chart — a callback to an earlier joke mocking CNN for using one — showing a box labeled “Dumb Thing” leading to “Trump’s Brain,” which then pointed directly to “Trump’s Mouth.”
