A Denver police officer was arrested in Adams County on Wednesday on suspicion of third-degree assault associated to home violence.

Officer Anthony Guzman Jr. was arrested on assault allegations associated to an incident that occurred Aug. 8 in Thornton, the Denver Police Division introduced in a information launch Thursday.

Guzman, 31, was employed by the division in 2022 and labored within the patrol division. He was positioned on modified responsibility on Aug. 14 when the division was notified of the investigation. He was suspended with pay after he was arrested Wednesday.
