The flurry of transfer additions continued for the Colorado Buffaloes on Wednesday.
CU and head coach Deion Sanders landed four more commitments, including a quarterback who is familiar with Folsom Field.
Former Utah quarterback Isaac Wilson is apparently heading to Boulder, along with cornerback Cree Thomas (Notre Dame), offensive tackle Taj White (Rutgers) and receiver Ernest Campbell (Sacramento State).
On3 reported that Wilson, who played the past two seasons at Utah, is expected to transfer to CU. The younger brother of current Miami Dolphins and former Denver Broncos quarterback Zach Wilson, Isaac would be projected as a backup at CU to redshirt freshman Julian “JuJu” Lewis.
The 6-foot, 210-pound Wilson played in nine games, with seven starts, for the injury-riddled Utes in 2024 when he was a true freshman. That year, he completed 127 of 225 passes (56.4%) for 1,510 yards, 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
On Nov. 16, 2024, Wilson completed 21 of 40 passes for 236 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in a 49-24 loss to the Buffs at Folsom Field. This season, he appeared in just one game, against CU, going 0-for-1 in the Utes’ 53-7 win Oct. 25 in Salt Lake City.
Wilson was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class, coming out of Corner Canyon (Utah) High School and had 19 scholarship offers.
Campbell was the leading receiver at Sacramento State this year, playing for head coach Brennan Marion, who is now the Buffs’ offensive coordinator. Campbell caught 37 passes for 755 yards and eight touchdowns for the Hornets.
The 5-foot-9, 145-pound Campbell spent the 2024 season at Texas A&M, playing in one game and redshirting. He also ran track as a sprinter for the Aggies, earning All-America honorable mention honors in the 100 meters, placing 22nd in the 2024 NCAA outdoor championships. He posted a 10.02-second 100 at the NCAA West regional.
Campbell was a four-star recruit in the 2024 class, receiving 24 scholarship offers, including from CU.
White, listed by Rutgers at 6-foot-5, 308 pounds, has one season of eligibility remaining. He started 20 games for the Scarlet Knights over the past two seasons.
This season, White started 11 games at right tackle. He played in 12 games with nine starts in 2024, with five starts at left guard and four at right tackle. Overall, he played 1,412 snaps in the past two years, allowing eight sacks in 754 pass blocking snaps. He redshirted in 2022 and played in 11 games in 2023.
Thomas comes to CU after one season at Notre Dame. He played in three games as a true freshman this year, using his redshirt year. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.
So far, 20 transfers have committed to the Buffs, with 13 of those on defense.
Listed at 6-foot-1, 189 pounds, Thomas was a three-star recruit in the 2025 class out of Brophy College Preparatory school in Phoenix. He had 12 offers, including from Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Wisconsin.
