There are a few streaming deals available during the big Black Friday sales, but if you’re looking for something new to watch, then Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) has the perfect thing – and better yet, the service has an impressive discount right now.
In the UK and the US, both new and returning subscribers can grab a whopping 50% off a subscription for six months. That knocks down the monthly UK price down from £9.99 to £4.99 per month, and from $12.99 to $5.99 per month in America.
That’s a saving of nearly £30/$36 across the discounted period.

The only people exempt from this deal are those already on the three-month free trial of Apple TV, and those who pay for the service via a third-party provider, such as a smartphone contract.
Why Apple TV’s Black Friday deal is worth signing up for
Now is an ideal time to get Apple TV, as the new series Pluribus is causing a big stir – becoming the biggest drama launch on the platform ever.
It’s created by Vince Gilligan, known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and follows Carol Sturka (Rhea Seahorn, the actress who played Kim Wexler), a romantasy author who also happens to be the only person who is immune to a virus that causes everyone on Earth to be constantly happy, no matter what.
Five episodes are out now, and there will be nine in total.
Besides Pluribus, there’s plenty more to sink your teeth into. Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age has just dropped, a nature docuseries about creatures from long ago. It’s narrated by Marvel alumni Tom Hiddleston, with a score from Hans Zimmer – a comforting watch as the weather gets chillier.
Crime drama Slow Horses, starring a biting (and farting) Gary Oldman also released its fifth season recently, while another adaptation from the same author, Down Cemetery Road, also dropped on the platform a month ago, starring Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson.
You could also revisit other Apple TV favourites, including Severance, The Studio, Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and Silo. Check out other unmissable offers in our live Black Friday blog.
