One person died and another was injured Tuesday evening when a fire sparked in southern Westminster, near the Denver-Boulder turnpike, fire officials said.
Westminster firefighters responded to the residential fire near W. 80th Avenue and Wolff Street just before 4 p.m. Tuesday, according to the fire department.
Paramedics took one resident to the hospital, where the resident later died, fire officials said. The victim will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
Another resident was injured in the fire and taken to the hospital by paramedics, according to the agency. Three Westminster police officers were also evaluated on scene for smoke inhalation.
