The way it works
The competitors started with Al-Ittihad defeating New Zealand’s Auckland Metropolis within the first spherical and transferring on to play Egypt’s Al-Ahly within the second spherical, whereas one other second spherical match will happen between Mexico’s Leon and Japan’s Urawa Pink Diamonds.
The winner of the second match involving Al-Ahly will then advance to the semifinals and play Brazil’s Fluminense. Leon or the Pink Diamonds, in the meantime, will play Manchester Metropolis within the semifinals. The final two groups standing will then face off within the Dec. 22 remaining, and the 2 losers of the semifinals may also play in a 3rd place match.
