One person died and three others were injured in a Sunday morning shooting near Bennett in Adams County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Adams County sheriff’s deputies responded just before 2 a.m. Sunday to a shooting at a residence north of 96th Avenue and Strasburg Road, about 40 miles east of Denver, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
When deputies arrived, they found a man who had been shot, sheriff’s officials said. Paramedics took the man to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The man will be identified by the Adams County Coroner’s Office at a later date.
Deputies later found three other victims who had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office. Those three were taken to various hospitals with unknown injuries.
Additional information about the shooting and the events leading up to it was not available Sunday. The sheriff’s office did not specify if a suspect had been identified or arrested.
